Description
Here is an unusual early version of “A Message to Garcia”, the inspirational missive that launched Elbert Hubbard to fame in 1899. This is the Wanamaker edition of 1906, which includes the original Garcia, then a translation into the Japanese and back to English, as well as 6 pages on the Wanamaker store itself. Done into a book by the Roycrofters in East Aurora, New York in honor of the Thirtieth Anniversary of the John Wanamaker Store. Just 4 3/4″ x 6″. Somewhat scarce with only modern reprints available at time of listing. See also my Wanamaker’s Founder’s Day address listed separately.
Book is in good condition, with some creasing and small edge tears to cover, string binding intact, interior pages with light wear but no tears or writing.
