Description
Here is a pretty copy of The Patchwork Girl of Oz book with a blue decorated cloth cover. Written by L. Frank Baum, published by Reilly & Lee. Copyright 1913, this printing was issued circa 1925-1929 according to The Book Collectors Guid to Baum, with no advertisements on back of half title page. Beautiful color illustrated endpapers, and many fabulous color illustrations, including some double page, by John R Neill throughout the text.
This is a near very good copy overall; the main flaw being that the rear hinge was inexpertly repaired so that about 1/2″ of the left endpaper is glued down. The front and rear covers are nice, with light edge spotting, while the spine is somewhat faded with light spotting as well. Inside, the front hinges and endpapers are beautiful, with the aforementioned issue to the rear hinge. Book Belongs To page has a 1933 gift inscription. Text pages and illustrations are quite clean.
