Here is a nice early edition of “The Scarecrow of Oz”, 9th of the Oz books written by L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1915, this is a Reilly & Lee printing, dating to about 1923 (publisher’s advertisements list to Cowardly Lion of Oz.) With 12 captioned color plates by John R. Neill. Black and white decorated endpapers.
Book is in near very good condition. Some wear to edges of pastedown, and a little creasing to spine, rear cover is clean. Inside, the rear hinge is cracked but the binding is holding well. Some foxing to endpapers and opposite color plates. Otherwise pages in good condition with some age toning. Book belongs to page is still blank. The 12 color plates are present and in nice condition.
