Here is a fabulous Easton Press version of Denslow’s Night Before Christmas, designed and illustrated by Wizard of Oz illustrator W. W. Denslow. This Easton Press version is a beautiful reprint of the cherished 1902 edition, featuring a wraparound cover design and many incredible and clever full-page color illustrations by Denslow, each signed with the seahorse and “DEN”. This book is still sealed, so I can’t show you but some of the pages actually show famous Baum/Denslow characters as toys in Santa’s bag–including the Tin Woodman of Oz and Mother Goose! Very fun, whimsical and classic Denslow style.
The Easton version is bound in genuine leather, with a hubbed spine accented with 22 Kt gold and gilded page ends. One Abe seller dates it at 2018 though I can’t be sure since I can’t find it on any other sites. 9″x12 1/4″, and in fine condition (small tear to plastic wrapping on back). Out of print and a difficult edition to find.
