Description
Here is a scarce set of 4 antique postcards plagiarizing the Cow Jumped Over the Moon artwork in Denslow’s ABC (1903). What makes this even more special is that it’s a “progressive” set, meaning each card could be sent separately and then the complete picture could be assembled once they’re all received. These were thankfully all sent to the same woman in 1907, who saved them, and here they are! Bill Thompson gave a show-and-tell on these cards at the last Oz-Con International in California. W M Beach Co. There are at least 3 or 4 of these sets known, featuring different artwork, and I have three in my own collection.
