Here is another adorable book by Oz illustrator W. W. Denslow: Denslow’s 5 Little Pigs, the first time I’ve been able to offer this title in the series. This is the true 1st edition published by Dillingham in 1903. Fully illustrated with color and Denslow’s trademark seahorse signature on nearly every page, as well as illustrated endpapers. Oversized softcover, 9″ by 11″.
This series is hard to find in decent condition as they were loved to death; this one is complete and in good plus but not very good condition overall. Front cover has light soiling and some creasing, and the spine is scuffed with some color loss. Inside, the pages are complete with an erasure mark inside cover, light soiling, and edge tears, most tiny, the largest about 1″. Also, someone has inserted what appears to be clear staple protectors in the center, probably to keep them from rusted onto the pages as they were wont to do. Recent reprints abound, be sure to get the original!
