Here’s another one of L. Frank Baum’s lesser known books, Sky Island. Published in 1912 by Reilly & Britton, this is a first edition, first printing with six Baum books listed on the back of the half-title page. With gorgeous full color endpapers and fabulous color plates by John R. Neill.
This copy in fair condition with flaws for the non-judgemental collector, the main one being part of the cloth missing at base of spine–see photo. The cover pastedown has light scuffing on edges and rear cover is a little dirty. Inside, hinges are tight but both have a little cracking at ends. All 12 color plates are present, but the frontispiece has detached and as a result, gotten worn along the edges. Book Belongs To page has two prior owners’ neat names.
