Beautiful original scarf to promote the 1939 MGM Wizard of Oz movie. According to Scarfone and Stillman in the Wizard of Oz Collector’s Treasury, “To tie in with the 1939 movie campaign, Brian Fabrics marketed Wizard of Oz rayon scarves which were printed in two different designs and a rainbow of color schemes.” All scarce today, this is the design with the four corner scenes of the Fab 4 and a central floral design, in a blue, purple and yellow coloescheme. Measures about 18″x20″. In very good condition, with old fold marks and slight wear at one corner.
