Description
Here is an early edition of The Tin Woodman of Oz book by L Frank Baum, copyright 1918 and published shortly after by Reilly & Lee. This printing circa 1923, with the Cowardly Lion of Oz listed as the last title in the list of books in the front. With 12 color plates with captions, and pictorial endpapers.
Condition is very good overall. Covers are quite clean with light wear on right side of pastedown, spine and rear cover look beautiful. Inside, both hinges are tight with just a bit of splitting at very base, and endpapers have some brownish marks from tape used at one time. Old bookseller’s pencil notations on front endpaper. Book Belongs To page neatly filled in by Cheryl Lynn Smith, an early Oz Club member who joined in the first year of the club. All 12 plates are present and in very good condition. The pages have age toning, but are otherwise in very good condition. A nice, collectible copy.
