Description
Here is a first edition copy of one of the scarcer Oz books, “Hidden Valley of Oz”, by author Rachel Cosgrove. Copyright 1951 by Reilly & Lee, this meets all the first edition point of the Book Collector Guide to L Frank Baum. With the paste-down cover plate in cloth binding A with Illustrations in B&W by Dirk (this book never had color plates).
The book is in good but not very good condition–color pastedown has light wear; spine has some discoloratio near back, rear cover is clean. Inside, both hinges have been imperfectly glue repaired, and there is a bookplate and pencil notations on the front endpaper. Book Belong To page is blank and all the other pages are in nice condition.
