Description
A nice copy of the very first book published by the Roycroft Shop, The Song of Songs (Which is Solomon’s Being a Reprint and a Study by Elbert Hubbard). Published in 1896, in a signed limited edition of 600, bound in handmade paper over boards with a white buckram spine. With the added bonus that it is personally inscribed to Cordelia Maynard by Hubbard. 9 1/8″ x 6″ and has 72 pages.
Exterior is near fine with light toning, and binding is tight. The pages are very good except for a light stain in the gutter of about the first 10 leaves. In beautiful condition overall, and the first time I’ve been able to offer this landmark book!
