Here is another scarce book by Oz illustrator W. W. Denslow: Mary Had A Little Lamb. Copyright 1903, this is the original first printing published by Dilliingham with the green cover. Fully illustrated with color and Denslow’s trademark seahorse signature on every page, as well as illustrated endpapers. Oversized softcover, 9″ by 11″.
In good but not very good condition. Complete, with an attractive cover with some light staining, wear to spine paper but it’s still intact. Inside, some of the pages are detached form the stapled binding, and the pages have moderate staining, and some tearing to the last two pages along the spine. One of Denslow’s most charming books, in my opinion, with the classic Mary nursery rhyme and a fabulous lamb. Back has a medley of all of Denslow’s Picture Books, all scarce.
