A facsimile reproduction of the rare 1898 edition of L Frank Baum’s By the Candelabra’s Glare. The original was printed by Baum himself and limited to only 99 copies for friends and family. This edition published by Scholars’ Facsimiles & Reprints, 1981, with all the original text but a plain blue cloth cover. Contains a long and informative introduction by scholar Peter Hanff, then a full B&W reproduction of the pages of the original book. With 2 illustrations by W W Denslow, when he and Baum were still friends. Probably Baum’s scarcest book, with even the fascimile copies hard to find and expensive online.
This book is in fine condition, no writing or flaws noted.
