Here is a scarce early copy of Nel Regno di Oz (Baum’s “The Realm of Oz”, or Wizard of Oz) in Italian. Published in Rome by Societa Apostolato Stampa (S.A.S), undated but ca 1940s, second edition. 255 numbered pages. Illustrated by Miki Ferro Pelizzari, translated into Italian by Maria Luisa Agosti Castellani. This is one of a set of 5 Oz books by this publisher, one of the earliest Italian Wizards and certainly the finest.
With a beautiful full color cover, and illustrated endpapers. Also with many amazing text illustrations–there are eight full page, full color illustrations and many other single color illustrations throughout.
Condition is good only, with moderate edge wear to paper-covered boards. The rear cover has a little more wear including a ding at the bottom. Inside, the super-fragile front hinge has been reglued and is a little crackly. Rear endpaper has some crayon streaks. The rest of the pages are in good condition.
