Here is an Oz ephemeral item that I’ve never seen before! The Journal of Ozian Research, Vol 1, No. 1 (Spring 1990), a 30-page booklet discussing the creation of Wizard of Oz map.
In particular, there is “Notes on the Preparation of the Maps of The Land of Oz and Its Surrounding Countries” by James Haff (who created the Oz Club maps in 1962), with notes and an Introduction by Matrick M Maund. Very detailed and informative for you cartography nuts. Then we have “Roads in Oz” by Kenneth R Shepherd and “Departures” by Patrick Maund. Also laid in is a B&W copy of the 1975 club maps and also of a Bugle article “The Maps of Oz”. First and I believe only issue of this obscure Ozian research project.
