This listing is for your choice of 5 rare trade cards with funky characters by Wizard of Oz illustrator W W Denslow, ca 1881. These are from a set of eight advertising the play “3 of a Kind” by Nate Salisbury, attributed to Denslow in the Autumn 1992 Baum Bugle checklist of Denslow’s work. Two advertise the play on the back, while three are blank on the back. Nice examples of Denslow’s very early work. Condition varies, as shown, with a small chip and corner fold to “The Three Graces”. Over 140 years old now!
