Description

Here is an interesting piece of Oz sheet music, “Can’t You See I’m Lonely”, featured in The Wizard of Oz stage musical with Montgomery and Stone (1905). Words by Felix Feist, music by Harry Armstrong, published by Leo Feist, sung by the “Tryxie Tryfle” character in the play. Consists of 6 pages of including covers. The rear cover has another Feist song.

There are actually several versions of this piece, with different singers on the front. The more desirable ones say “Wizard of Oz” at the top and some do not–this one does. I know there were at least seven women and one man featured in the photo inset. This is the first I have seen of this actress, “Lottie Freeman”. I can’t find much on her online.

In good condition, with moderate edge wear/tears and spine split. Store stamp lower right. Music complete. A fun Oz item to add to your collection!
