Description

Here are two of the most scarce pieces of Oz-related ephemera I’ve ever had–two 1914 newsletters from L Frank Baum’s Oz Film Manufacturing Company. Only a few silent films were made in  before the company folded, and I’ve never seen these newsletters before. The Wizard of Oz Collector’s Treasury describes the two of them, but only with images of reproductions. Each 9″x12″ original is 4 pages and packed with information about the films, their stars, Baum’s involvement, and press commentary. Even better, these newsletters are from the collection/estate of the face of Ozma for the film company–Vivian Reed. In very good condition with a custom clamshell box, as well as a COA from James Pepper Rare Books. (Note that there is an error in the COA–Reed’s son was Douglas Green, not Douglas Greene who was a long-time Oz Club member and scholar.)

In good condition with fold marks.
