Scarce UK British sheet music: “Selection of Melodies from The Wizard of Oz”, published in 1940 by Robbins Music Corp (London) with selling agent Francis, Day and Hunter Ltd. Features a wonderful scarlet cover with 6 of the main characters from the 1939 MGM movie.
Eight pages, including cover. Each page has piano music, guitar chords, and the lyrics for one of the songs from the movie, including the Jitterbug that was cut before release!
In good condition, with a long closed tear, about 2″, on cover, with a small piece of tape on the back and a smaller taped tear on the rear cover. Also with some pencil notations of former owner, including “Scarecrow’s Dance”. A little splitting starting at base of spine and some creasing and wear.
