Beautiful original scarf to promote the 1939 MGM Wizard of Oz movie. According to Scarfone and Stillman in the Wizard of Oz Collector’s Treasury, “To tie in with the 1939 movie campaign, Brian Fabrics marketed Wizard of Oz rayon scarves which were printed in two different designs and a rainbow of color schemes.” All scarce today, this is the design with the four corner scenes of the Fab 4 and a central basket, in a blue/green and peach color scheme. Measures about 18″x20″. In near very good condition, with light staining and small holes at 2 corners.
