Description
Here’s one of L. Frank Baum’s lesser known books, Sky Island, in an original dust jacket. This is a ca. 1970 Reilly & Lee edition, according to the Book Collector’s Guide to L Frank Baum, with a blank cover and blue gilt spine. No color plates, but with black and white illustrations by John R Neill (although the revamped dust jacket design is by Dick Martin).
The book is in very good condition, with a beautiful clean cover and tight binding, though there is some foxing to both endpapers and edge of text block, as well as a neat pencil notation on the rear endpaper. Dust jacket is near fine, enclosed in a mylar-type cover and with one pen circle around one title on back flap.
