Here is a wonderful vintage copy of Ozoplaning with the Wizard of Oz! Copyright 1939 by Ruth Plumly Thompson, this is a slightly later printing with 32-page gatherings. The dust jacket list titles to The Shaggy Man of Oz, dating the book to about 1949. With fabulous map endpapers and black and white illustrations by the famed John R Neill.
The book itself is in amazing, near fine condition. The front cover, pastedown and spine are extremely clean and the cloth is beautiful, with just a little fading to rear cover! Corners sharp, the pastedown is still glossy. Wow. Inside, there is a former owner’s inscription on the front endpaper and that’s it–clean pages and endpapers, solid hinges and binding; no tears or soiling noted. The beautiful color dust jacket is very good, with light edge wear and spine fading, price-clipped but in much better shape than usual. Overall, a very collectible copy of a hard to find Oz title!
