Description
Here is an unusual Roycrofters booklet: Who Lifted the Lid Off of Hell? by Elbert Hubbard, copyright 1914. In it he excoriates Kaiser Willhelm II for events that contributed to WWI. The Kaiser had the last word when the Lusitania was torpedoed by a German submarine with Hubbard and is wife onboard in 1915. Small booklet, 16 pages with covers, measures just 4 5/16 x 5 1/2″. This item was also printed in a different format around 1914 and again in 1917. This is the 1914 version with a Philistine ad on the back and seems to be harder to find than the other 1914 one.
This title is in very good condition, complete and with an intact stapled binding. The internal pages are all clean.
