Description
Rare Oz-related book from March Laumer’s Opium Press, The Wooden Soldiers of Oz, 1969. Translated from the Russian text of Alexander Volkov, this paperbound version is in a similar but slightly smaller format as the Opium Press Queen Zixi of Ix also published in 1969. 266 pages, 5 1/2″ x 8″, with a neon orange and hot pink cover. The B&W illustrations are by Vladimirskov, with an introduction by the Greene brothers and “decorations” by Michael Patrick Hearn.
Wooden Soldiers is in near very good condition, complete and tight with no writing, but many of the pages are uncut on the bottom, and with some tears for those which are common with this title.
