Rare Oz-related book from March Laumer’s Opium Press, The Wooden Soldiers of Oz, 1969. Translated from the Russian text of Alexander Volkov, this paperbound version is in a similar but slightly smaller format as the Opium Press Queen Zixi of Ix also published in 1969. 266 pages, 5 1/2″ x 8″, with a neon orange and hot pink cover. The B&W illustrations are by Vladimirskov, with “decorations” by Michael Patrick Hearn.
Wooden Soldiers is in very good condition, small scuff at base near spine, complete and tight with no writing or tears. Also, many of the pages are uncut on the bottom, as is common with this title.
