Here is a must for any serious collector of W W Denslow of Wizard of Oz fame, written and signed by Oz scholar Michael Patrick Hearn who has done an excellent job at weaving Denslow’s story in with the art he produced. This wonderful book is jam packed with information on the fascinating man who illustrated not only Baum’s Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but hundreds of other books, magazines, newspaper articles, posters, and other ephemera. Many of the most interesting were included in an exhibit in 1996 at the Brandywine River Museum in Pennsylvania. Profusely illustrated in both B&W and color. Large softcover, 64 pages. A fabulous reference.
