Here is “The Visitors from Oz” book with an unusual yellow buckram library binding. Pictorial library bindings are becoming very collectible, since they are different and colorful and have recently been featured in an article in the Baum Bugle by Bienvenue and Schmidt. Published in 1960 by Reilly & Lee, with beautiful and bold full-color illustrations by Dick Martin. With “American Publishers Company” printed on the back. The most common color for the library binding is green, this is the first yellow one I’ve had on offer!
The book is in decent condition for a library book. The spine has a call number in marker, there is some soiling to covers, library markings and card pocket remnants inside cover as expected for a library book. Pages in good condition with light wear. Binding is tight and solid. A nice item for those who like the unusual, and Dick Martin’s art.
