Description
Here is “The Visitors from Oz” book with an unusual green buckram library binding. Pictorial library bindings have become very collectible, since they are different and colorful and have recently been featured in a 2015 Baum Bugle by Bienvenue and Schmidt. Published in 1960 by Reilly & Lee, with beautiful and bold full-color illustrations by Dick Martin. With “American Publishers Company” printed on the back.
The book is in acceptable condition for a library book. Light soiling and scuffing to cover, card pocket to front endpaper, library markings to title page and stamp to rear endpaper. Pages in decent condition with one pen mark and some light crinkling. Binding is tight and solid. A nice item for those who like the unusual, and Dick Martin’s art.
