Here is a nice Speedy in Oz book, copyright 1934 by Ruth Plumly Thompson–the hard to find Reilly & Lee 1st edition, 1st printing, with 12 beautiful full color plates by John R. Neill, and black and white illustrated endpapers. This title is especially hard to find in the first printing, since it was published in 1934 and Reilly & Lee stopped including color illustrations in their books in 1935.
This is a good only copy due to some heavy creasing/waviness to the cloth on the rear cover. The color pastedown is quite nice, and the spine has some fading. Inside, the front hinge is intact and the rear hinge is cracked, but holding well. The endpapers are clean, neat former owner’s inscription and small stain on the Book Belongs To page. All 12 plates are present and in nice condition. Text pages have are mostly clean with no writing or tears noted.
