Here is a copy of The Land of Oz with the hard-to-find Roycraft dust jacket. In about 1959, just eleven of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets designed by designed by Roland Roycraft. These were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are much more common. The cloth cover is blank. Land of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum and published by Reilly & Lee. The jacket lists to Hidden Valley of Oz, as do all in this jacket series.
Book is in good only condition–mostly due to messy former owner’s insctiption opposite the title page transferring ink to that page as shown. Hinges tight and pages in nice condition overall, with toning to endpapers and some fading to cover as shown. Jacket is good to very good–priceclipped with light chipping at spine ends and some tape on on back as shown. Protected in archival plastic cover and attractive in a 1960s sort of way.
