Here is a beautiful copy of The Hungry Tiger of Oz book, with one of the hardest to find and, IMO, cutest, Roycraft dust jackets. In about 1959, just eleven of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets designed by Roland Roycraft. These were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are more common. The Hungry Tiger of Oz was written by Ruth Plumly Thompson and published by Reilly & Lee, copyright 1926. B&W illustrations by John R Neill inside.
The book is in very good condition overall–clean and with tight binding, but there is some browning to the endpapers where some paper was left. Also a 1965 gift inscription. The jacket is also very good, with a little fading to edges and spine, and a few tiny chips to rear cover.
