Here is an unusual copy of “The Emerald City of Oz”, one of the Oz books written by L Frank Baum. Copyright 1910, this is a later hardcover edition published primarily for libraries with an unusual green, red and purple buckram binding based on the John R. Neill endpaper design on of the earlier books. Library versions of Oz books with cover art are becoming collectible. Internal black and white illustrations by Neill, published by Rand McNally ca 1970.
The book is in wonderful condition, one of the fortunate library-style books that was never actually used in a library–no writing or marks. With a very clean cover with just light wear. Inside, the binding is tight, the endpapers are clean, and the pages are all in excellent condition throughout with just a little creasing toward the end.
