Here is a “Captain Salt in Oz” book, copyright 1936 by Ruth Plumly Thompson; this is a slightly later mid 1940’s version with 32-page gatherings. Published by Reilly & Lee, with the full color pastedown cover and nice light blue cloth color. Black and white illustrations by John R. Neill, blank endpapers.
Book is in fair to good condition, with some flaws. Cover pastedown is clean, but spine is faded and has some splitting starting at top. Edges and corners of cloth are tearing a little in spots, a spot to base of text block. Inside, front hinge is tight and rear is cracked, and endpapers have age toning, with an inventory number on the front endpaper. Most pages have a upper corner crease. Other pages are clean. For the budget-minded collector.
