Description
Here is a “Captain Salt in Oz” book, copyright 1936 by Ruth Plumly Thompson; this is a slightly later 1940’s version with 32-page gatherings. Published by Reilly & Lee, with the full color pastedown cover and nice light blue cloth color. Black and white illustrations by John R. Neill, blank endpapers.
Book is in good plus condition. Cover pastedown is in nice condition, corners are a little soft, and the spine has some blemishes at the bottom where it looks like someone tried to erase some pencil markings–see photo. Inside, front hinge is tight, rear hinge is cracked about half way up, cute pen drawing on Book Belongs To page. Some early pages have folds and a little soiling at top, other pages clean and nice.
