Description
Here is “The Magic of Oz”, 13th of the Oz books written by L Frank Baum. Copyright 1919 by Reilly & Lee, this is a first edition, third printing with titles listing to Glinda of Oz on the rear of the Book Belongs To page (the first printing had titles to Tin Woodman instead). There are 12 beautiful color plates by the magnificent illustrator, John R. Neill. Points as given by the Book Collector’s Guide to L Frank Baum reference.
In very good condition plus overall–the cover pastedown is quite clean, as is the cover cloth and spine. Inside, both hinges are intact, the front endpaper is clean and the ownership page is blank, with a little staining to rear endpapers. All 12 plates are present and in very nice condition. Quite a collectible copy, and the first of this particular printing I’ve ever found.
