Here is an unusual copy of The Magic of Oz with a hard-to-find dust jacket illustrated by Dick Martin. In 1960, only ten of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets by Martin, and these were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are much more common. These jacket covers are described in Appendix 2 of Bibliographia Oziana (1988). Magic was written by L. Frank Baum and published by Reilly & Lee.
The book itself is in very good condition with a clean exterior, tight binding, small name on front endpaper, and blank Book Belongs To page. The jacket is price clipped and has some thin tape on the back where it was once attached to a plastic cover, but is overall in very good condition.
