Here is a copy of The Shaggy Man of Oz written by one of the later Oz book authors, Jack Snow. Copyright 1949, first edition, first printing with illustrated endpapers (see Bibliographia Oziana). A beautiful book with the full-color paste down cover, and black and white illustrations by John R Neill. Also includes the first edition dust jacket, but it’s in very “shaggy” condition as described below.
The book is in near fine condition–clean and tight, nice front cover pastedown, clean spine and rear cover, tight hinges. The only flaw of note is a former owner’s name in felt pen on the front endpaper. Pages are clean and Book Belongs To page is blank. The dust jacket, however, is in poor condition with substantial chipping, edge wear, front flap half detached and back flap entirely detached. I’m pricing the book for the book itself, and consider the shaggy dust jacket a smal bonus!
