Here is a 1st edition, 1st printing of The Scarecrow of Oz by L. Frank Baum, with 12 color plates by John R Neill, in nice condition. Published by Reilly & Britton in 1915 (publisher’s advertisement lists to The Scarecrow of Oz as called for in the 1st printing). Illustrated endpapers. Copyright 1915.

This book is in good to very good to overall. The cover plate is slightly soiled with a chip at top right corner. The cloth has light wear, with a little fraying at base of spine, which is slightly age toned. Rear cover has light staining. Inside, both hinges are intact and the endpapers are clean and bright. The Book Belongs To page has a 1919 inscription and about a 2/3″ closed tear at base, and a small open tear at base of one of the later pages. Text overall in nice condition with occasional stains, though several of the B&W illustrations are neatly colored. The 12 color plates are all present and in nice condition. There is a light pencil sketch on the last blank page, which could be erased if you so desire.
