Here is a 1st edition copy of The Purple Prince of Oz, by Ruth Plumly Thompson. Published in 1932 by Reilly & Lee, this is the first printing with color plates by John R. Neill. Also with illustrated endpapers. One of the harder Oz 1sts to find–as the color plates were discontinued in about 1935.
Condition of this book is good only, as it is missing one of the 12 color plates, with 11 only present. The front cover pastedown has light scuffing, the spine is nice, and the rear cover is a little dirty. Inside, both hinges are cracked with the mull showing. Ownership page has has a neat pencil name. The pages are in nice condition, with occasional small staining, and the remaining 11 color plates are in very good condition.
