Description
Here is a beautiful copy of Ozma Regina di Oz (Baum’s “Ozma of Oz”, or Wizard of Oz) in Italian. Published in Rome by Societa Apostolato Stampa (S.A.S), undated but ca. 1940s. An oversized production (about 8 3/4″ x 11″) with 243 numbered pages. Illustrated by Miki Ferro Pelizzari, translated into Italian by Maria Luisa Agosti Castellani. This is one of a set of 5 gorgeous, scarce Oz books by this publisher! I’ve finally completed my set and am able to offer copies for sale whenever I’m lucky enough to find them.
With a stunning full color cover and illustrated endpapers, and many amazing text illustrations. There are eight full page, full color illustrations and many other single color illustrations throughout.
Condition is unusually good, particularly for these fragile books with paper-covered boards. Cover still in nice shape with corner bumping, a little ding to top edge and minor wear. Inside is near fine, with intact binding, a couple corner folds and just a little age toning, no writing or tears!
