Description

Here is a beautiful first edition copy of “Ojo in Oz”, one of the harder to find and thus more desirable vintage Oz titles. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1933 by Reilly & Lee, this is a 1st edition, first printing with 12 beautiful color plates by John R. Neill. This book was only issued for about 2 years with the plates, because In 1935 Reilly & Lee stopped including the color plates to cut costs. This book also is in the “A” binding, according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum, with the boldface publisher’s imprint.

The book is in very good plus to near fine condition overall. The pastedown looks great with very light wear to edges, turquoise cloth and spine in nice condition with just light smudging. Inside, both hinges are intact and the binding is tight. Ownership page is blank. All 12 plates are present and in beautiful condition. Endpapers are clean as are the text pages. A wonderful copy for the high-end collector!
