Here is a nice early copy of Lucky Bucky in Oz, copyright 1942 by John R. Neill, Oz illustrator who continued writing the series for a while. This is a Reilly & Lee printing, with a full color pastedown, black and white illustrations by Neill and blank endpapers. The book has Bucky’s face and a stylized “OZ”, but 32 page gatherings instead of the 16 page gatherings called for in the 1st printing. So, according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum, published circa 1947-1948 instead of in 1942.
Condition is very good minus with a beautiful, clean cover, tiny ~1/8″ split at top of spine, clean rear cover. Inside, hinges are intact and tight, endpapers clean except the Book Belongs To page has the name blocked out with a black marker. Other pages are clean and nice.
