Description
Here is a nice 1st edition, 1st printing of Jack Pumpkinhead of Oz, written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1929 by Reilly & Lee, this contains all 12 color plates by John R Neill, which marks it as the first printing according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum.
This book has some wear to the edges of the front cover pastedown as shown. Rear cover is nice, spine has a little foxing. Inside, the hinges are intact, and there is a period bookplate of Craig Crawford inside the cover, as well as a tiny name stamp on the front free endpaper. Original Seattle bookseller’s seal on the rear endpaper. There is a faint erased name on the Book Belongs To page. All 12 color plates are present and in excellent condition. Page have age toning but otherwise clean and unmarked.
