Description
Here is a nice 1st edition, 1st printing of Jack Pumpkinhead of Oz, written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1929 by Reilly & Lee, this contains all 12 color plates by John R Neill, which marks it as the first printing according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum.
This book has discoloration to the right side of the front cover pastedown as shown. Rear cover and spine have light wear. Inside, the front hinge is a little loose, but holding. “Robert”s name on front free endpaper, ownership page is blank. All 12 color plates are present and in very nice condition. Some cracking to spine in text block but still secure. Pages have age toning opposite color plates and a few corner turns but generally clean and unmarked.
