Here is a 1st edition Wizard of Oz book titled The Gnome King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, with 12 color plates by John R. Neill. Published by Reilly & Lee in 1927. The book also has Illustrated endpapers by Neill.
This book is in good condition overall, but with some faults. Light wear to front cover plate and spine starting to split along back side, about 3″ long. The rear cover is clean. Inside, the front hinge has some light wear and the rear hinge is lightly cracked. The front endpaper has some old pencil notatoins. Rear endpaper has a tiny hole near top. The Book Belongs To page has a name and date. All 12 color plates are present and most are in nice condition, but there is a small moisture stain that affects the very top corner margin of the frontis as well as the two subsequent plates, and is slightly visible on those intervening pages. It does not affect the artwork at all. Otherwise the pages are clean.
