Description
Here is a 1st edition Wizard of Oz book titled The Gnome King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, with 12 color plates by John R. Neill. Published by Reilly & Lee in 1927. The book also has Illustrated endpapers by Neill.
This book is in good plus condition overall, with some wear. Front cover plate and corners have some scuffing, spine and rear cover are nice. Inside, both hinges are cracked with mull showing, but holding, and there is a bookplate on the front endpaper. Rear endpaper has two closed tears at bottom. The Book Belongs To page is blank and the pages have age toning, with staining to base of p. 20. All 12 color plates are present and in nice condition overall. A decent copy of a hard to find Thompson 1st!
