Here is a 1st edition Wizard of Oz book titled The Gnome King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, with 12 color plates by John R. Neill. Published by Reilly & Lee in 1927. The book also has Illustrated endpapers by Neill.
This book is in near very good condition overall, with some wear. Front cover plate has some scuffing, light wear to top of spine, rear cover with some soiling. Inside, both hinges are holding, endpapers have substantial age toning, with pencil inscription in front. Book Belongs To page also with owner’s name in pencil. First few pages have finger soling. All 12 color plates are present and in very nice condition. Most of the other pages are clean with no marks or tears noted. A hard to find Thompson 1st!
