Here is a 1st edition Wizard of Oz book titled The Gnome King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, with 12 color plates by John R. Neill. Published by Reilly & Lee in 1927. The book also has Illustrated endpapers by Neill.
This book is in near very good condition–exterior has light spotting with heavier spotting/foxing to spine and pages. Inside, rear hinge is cracked with mull (webbing) showing (but holding), and front hinge is starting at base. Endpapers have heavy age toning, some pencil notations in front and a Bretano’s seal to rear one at base. The rest of the book is in lovely condition–Book Belongs To page is blank, all 12 color plates are present and in excellent condition, and the pages are clean without marks or tears. A hard to find Thompson 1st!
