Here is a first edition/first printing of Glinda of Oz by L. Frank Baum, published in about 1920 by Reilly & Lee. As required by The Book Collector’s Guide to L. Frank Baum reference, Glinda of Oz is the last book in the publisher’s advertisement in the front, and the book has 12 color plates by John R. Neill without captions, as well as nice illustrated endpapers.
The book ‘s exterior is very good, with light wear to cover plate and cloth only. Inside, the hinges and binding are secure, and all 12 color plates are present. Book Belongs To page has a 1920 gift inscription. PLEASE NOTE: The main flaw with the book is some blue ink soiling to the lower corner of the last 40 pages or so, visible from the edge of the text block as well. This includes 3 of the 12 color plates. The others are in nice condition. Some finger soiling and corner folds throughout.
