Here’s an Oz-related collectible for those who have (almost) everything: The Gateway to Bookland, a 1931/32 catalog of children’s book releases published by The Federal Printing Co. Distributed through The Bookshop in New London, CT. The color catalog charmingly illustrated by Mary Ponton Gardner contains 52 pages of children’s book listings from this period, including a listing for Ruth Plumly Thompson’s Pirates in Oz and a Bobbs-Merrill edition of Baum’s The Wizard of Oz (with Denslow illustrations). Also included are many well known children’s books, including Tom Sawyer, The Cat Who Went to Heaven, Mother Goose, Mickey Mouse, and more. In excellent condition and includes an original order blank and mailing envelope.
