Here we offer your choice of ONE of seven vintage Wizard of Oz books by Ruth Plumly Thompson and published by Reilly & Lee. These were issued in the last 1930s through the 1950s, with black and white illustrations by John R. Neill. Some have illustrated endpapers as well. The hardback books include:
Giant Horse of Oz: Good to very good, clean cover and spine, light edge wear, tight binding (front hinge neatly repaired at top), slight waviness to top edge of first few pages, some finger soiling but generally clean. Ownership page once erased and filled in anew with pencil.
Cowardly Lion of Oz: Good, clean cover and spine, light edge wear, tight binding, slight waviness to top edge of first 1/3rd pages, some finger soiling or age staining but generally clean. Ownership page once erased and filled in anew with pencil.
Kabumpo in Oz: Good to very good, cover and spine with light wear, tight binding, some finger soiling but generally clean. Ownership page once erased and filled in anew with pencil.
Jack Pumpkinhead of Oz: Good to very good, cover and spine with light wear, binding loose at half-title page, but holding, some staining to bottom of text block and pages. Ownership page filled in with pen.
Speedy in Oz: Good to very good, spine has spotting as shown, tight binding, 1 1/2″ closed tear on title page, some finger soiling but generally clean. Ownership page once erased and filled in anew with pencil.
Lost King of Oz: Good to very good, cover and spine very good, front hinge slightly cracked with possible old glue repair, some finger soiling but generally clean. Ownership page blank.
Pirates in Oz: Very good, cover and spine with light wear, tight binding, some finger soiling but generally clean. Ownership page blank, 1″ stain opposite.
